The Luck o' the Irish

Happy St. Patricks Day!

We don't really do anything but wear green... but I know some people do. Some cities have the huge parades, I think NYC has a 7 hour long one today. Or they make corned beef and cabbage, which most likely I probably wouldn't like all that much. Green beer, irish soda bread... just a few things...

I've been more interested about the family tree lately. Dad has a cousin that has probably managed to actually link us to Daniel Boone, which is pretty interesting. (like somehow the Huyck name manages to marry into the Boone and Johnson name) Gotta love those names. Some poor guy was actually named Burger Huyck. Yikes!

Its interesting though, I think I might have descendants from Poland and Germany...

Well, its a long boring day at work. No students so a lot of the departments have pretty much shut down. Everyone's on vacation, but not me. So its really quiet and I'm starving and ready for lunch! LOL Hope y'all have a great Thursday night!
