Things I don't like about today...

• I feel old. The "UC" at Tech is now called the student union by everyone... The "UD" (aka University Daily) is now called the "Daily Toreador". (BLEH!)
• Animal Control called me b/c my dog was about 3 blocks from my house. Which means someone opened my gate (kids or construction workers) OR left my gate open (lawn guy)... grrr!
• The last 15 minutes of a work day go by so slowly...

Things I like about today...

• We had a department birthday breakfast so I got yummy foods...
• I got $100 for setting up a new checking account AND a free Dr. Pepper!
• I am loving my potato/cheese/bacon burrito from Josie's...
• It might rain...
• Bible study is tonight!
• I might get to watch some Alias.

On a serious note, please be praying for our grandma... her leukemia has been coming back and she'll have to go to MD Anderson Cancer Center (not sure when). Thanks!

It's a Monday morning...

and going surprisingly well, actually. I'm looking forward to today. My boss is gone so I'm not getting a lot of work given to me, although that's not to say that I don't have work to do! I'm looking forward to tonight. I get to go to Lucilynn's tonight which is always nice. We're going to start a new bible study which I'm excited about.

In the next couple of week's, my cuz graduates and I'll get to see some of the family members that I haven't seen in a long time. I can't wait to see you, Nicole.... and your "pooch"! I am still trying to think of names for the bambino.

I can't wait for the weather to change... mid-week it sounds like we'll cool down to the upper 70s and get a chance of rain! Nice! (That's your weather girl report, Cherry.)

Anyways, as you can tell, I really don't have anything interesting or deep to chat about... my blog was just in need of an update. Hope y'all are having a wonderful Monday!

So... I have a little time to post but really, I don't have anything to post about. Jealous of my life, aren't you?

It's Friday

YEA!

So I don't have much to report to the world. I made it one full work week with my boss in the office. Wow - its still a little hard getting used to working nonstop but I figure it will start to be more "normal" or a little more downtime as I get used to the job. My dad says that this is my first real experience at working for a living. :)

I probably get to hire my own student assistant next week, which is CRAZY. And this boy is talented! Like he's worked for 2 Congressman and a State Representative! While I worked at... the Chemistry building. (But y'all have my love there!)

Well, that's it. I'm looking forward to the weekend! Have a great one!

I'm having an Exorcist moment...

*Everybody watch my head spin* Wheeeeeee!

Yeah, so I can definitely say that this week is not like last week with the job. Last week, I really didn't have all that much to do. Just working on a generic letter for to thank some donors... yeah, I really wish we had taken the time to sort! So today, it was me working on sorting some of the letters between two categories. And then it turns out that they want it more specific. I'm like "let's send generic for the last FOUR months" and then we can get it specific and do it each week. Especially since we printed out all 500 or so letters already! I managed to make it through today though and mark a few things off my list. I can still remain clueless since I had to get someone else to print a report... and I called my mom for help with another problem! LOL But I did actually do a few things.

So this day has definitely flown by... and I definitely have a headache from it! Hopefully, next week will be a little better. *gasp* I didn't even get to say hi to my 'net friends except for one email! Or "stalk" Michael Vartan or find out any new Alias news... the world must be ending!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Say a prayer for my grandma, she's in the hospital w/ a respiratory infection.

Well...

I don't really have all that much to say... I finished a week at work and I think that I will really like it here. Once I finally learn what I'm going to be doing! But the learning process should start tomorrow because my boss will be back in town! So I'll finally get to work with her, and with that being said, I'm really nervous. She doesn't set unrealistic standards, but she wants you to get the job done. I just hope that I am up to it!

My 4th of July weekend was good. I got a few more work clothes, YEA! Apparently my little black dog is very scared of fireworks though so I got to attempt to sleep with him in my room. He did pretty good though, although waking up around 6 isn't always fun. :)
