It's been awhile...

I've been busy the past couple of weeks! 2 weekends ago, I was in Dallas visiting the family and seeing cute little Ellie. Then I worked for two days, and spent another 5 days in Florida, which was wonderful! It's so relaxing there, and so nice just to hang out with friends (and get pictures with some cute actors). My big "item" of that weekend was that I bought a wedding dress! Yes, you read that right... I got a $800 wedding dress (supposedly) for $100 for a silent auction for this charity for autistic kids. It was worn by one of the character's on Guiding Light and it almost fits. So if I did choose to wear it at my wedding, if that happens, I could. Or I could sell it for Ebay and make a little profit, I'm sure!! But yes, that was definitely an amusing phone call to my mom... "Guess what I'm bringing home?"

And I found out yesterday about the job situation. My boss has decided to go with someone else, who is definitely qualified for the job and will be a great addition to our department. But I can't say that I'm not disappointed. I got a little choked up when I called my mom to tell her yesterday. Btw, my mom is the best! I went over there last night and she made my favorite meal and got me flowers - which of course, I left over there. oops. Anyways, the hard part about today was feeling a little bummed at the parts of the job I won't get to do... AND I'm going to have to give up my office. So I'm moving into the middle office with the student assistants and attempting to figure out how I can fit all my stuff in a smaller desk. Maybe in the next 4-6 months, depending on space, I can get my own office back. And it was very touching to see how my boss has reacted to this. She chose the best person for the job but is still feeling bad that it wasn't me. She even came close to tears today when she realized that I'd have to move out of my office. So anyways, it kind of sucks, because I had some cute office stuff that I won't be able to use now... but it will all work out for the best. So please be praying for me financially. I know that God will provide, but I'm still a little worried. She's going to try to raise my title and payscale, so we'll see.

Anyways, I better go for now, I'll try to write more in the next few days.

Hello!

Just wanted to write a quick note to say hi to everyone... things in my life are in pretty much the same shape as the last couple of months so no new news to report! Hopefully, some in the new future though!

I'm looking forward to the next two weeks... planning a trip this weekend to the Big D to see the cutest baby in the world and my cousins, followed up the next weekend by a trip to Florida to hang out with internet friends! I can't wait!
