Prayers...

Once again, I'm asking for prayers for my grandma. Some levels in her blood are low and they need to raise before she can come home I guess. I'm ready for my mom and grandma to be back home and I know they need my mom at work... So be praying that whatever results need to happen will come in on Thursday when they go back to the dr. In the words of my dad, "This is getting old."

Also, I have an internet friend that lives in Biloxi, MS. Right now, her family is in a hotel in Destin, FL... they haven't been able to reach any of their family members that stayed behind in Biloxi. Her house was 6 miles from the beach and near a river/lake... so just pray that they might have something to salvage. I really hope she has a house to come home too! They are waiting for I-10 to be fixed before they can go home... and there is no power/phones in most of Biloxi...

Thanks for the prayers and I hope your week is going well!

So sleepy...

Happy Friday y'all!

I am so tired right now... I feel that I could go to bed right now and sleep until morning! I couldn't go to sleep last night, my imagination was running into overdrive. And something, God perhaps, made me get up and check to see if the garage was closed, and it was open. But then I couldn't go to sleep after that... and then a four legged creature of mine decided he needed to sleep on my bed. So then I woke up at 4:30 to put him out... fun times.

Yesterday was my first day to ever stay a long time after work hours. I was getting in my car and the bell tower rang 6PM! WOW!

Btw, I never really had a lot of Tech spirit but I seem to have more now... maybe its just missing the campus. Not that I'll probably go to any sporting events really, unless its work related! But its been nice hearing the marching band practice... they even went around some of the campus today. And while I hate walking from my parking spot during lunch time... its a nice walk on a pretty day going to work and home.

Keep praying for my grandma and my roomie with their sicknesses. Also, so a prayer for Clayton and Mica with the memorial service being tomorrow.

Have a great weekend!

Little things...

Yesterday, I went to the dentist and saw my 10th grade Spanish teacher. She remembered my name and proceeded to ask me if I remembered all these spanish words. Um... no. But it was kind of nice seeing that crazy ol teacher!
It was a sad day yesterday... I finally hit the $30 mark in filling up my car. I know that some of y'all have passed that but I was really hoping not too.
I bought "Clue" last night so I can't wait to watch it...

And an update on Grandma... Apparently, the medicine is doing good for Grandma. Her platelets are going down which is definitely a good thing! They go back to the hospital today for blood work and a review or something. They've had the past two days off. Keep praying that mom and grandma will get to come home next week! Hopefully on Tuesday!

Well, I better get back to work. Preparing for my boss to go on a trip to Dallas to promote this big corporate scholarship event we are having in Sept! Hope y'all are having a great week! And YEA, its almost FRIDAY!

Prayers...

Update on Grandma: She started on the new drug this week. They've had to be at the hospital every day until today. They go tomorrow for blood work and then on Monday for a 10+ hour day. I'm not sure on the schedule after that. Be praying that the meds work really good for Grandma and she doesn't get too sick from them. If everything goes ok, Mom said that they might get to come home around Aug. 29th and stay home until Sept. 12th. It still seems like a long time from now, but its better than a full month!

Clayton and Mica: Most of you know about the baby that they had. Grace was born about 3 weeks ago and passed away this morning. Its such a praise and a miracle from God that she was here as long as she was. Be praying for this family as they go through this and may God bless them and pour out His love on them. Their faith was an inspiration to so many people, many they will never know...

And pray for my roomie, she hasn't been feeling really good in a while and this week has been worse for her.

This has been one long week... thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!

Update on Grandma

I talked to mom last night about 9:30... she said that they had to wait at the hospital all day to find out if Grandma was chosen for the experimental drug. They finally found out that she was accepted so I guess today is the start of the drug and testing. They were supposed to be there at 7AM. I'm still not sure of the schedule that they have mapped out. Mom was hoping that it would be two weeks but it looks like it may be a month in Houston.

Be praying for the both of them and for the drug to work to make Grandma feel better!

As for me, nothing new going on...

Workin' 9 to 5.....

So this is me, unmotivated, not really caring about anything that has to do with work. I do need to get my butt in gear because my boss likes to know that her employees get their job done, but I'm just tired. And PMSy or actually really emotional today. I'm not exactly sure which one is the actual culprit.

I was thinking this morning how great it would be to wake up at 8AM every day. I think I'd be more awake and happy... shoot, if I happened to get over my fear of dogs being together, then I might even walk Gus in the mornings... So why is it that you can read some sort of article and it mentions a job being 9-5... or that old Dolly Parton movie... how'd we get to the 8-5 job? Whoever came up with that needs to be seriously hurt. Of course, that being said, I'm glad that I don't wake up at 5AM to tend to the field or anything!

Well, my weekend was fun. My cuz came into town... and I got to see my other cuz that lives in town that I don't ever really seem to see. The two of them are always good for a laugh! I miss the days from childhood. :) Even graduation was pretty interesting - with an opera song in the commencement speech -- I don't like opera, btw. And there was a person that most likely had some psych problems that made an appearance.

Say a pray for our grandma. She's back in the hospital with congestive heart failure...

Well, I need to get back to attempting work. I must say that I enjoy having launch.yahoo.com on my computer so I can enjoy some tunes. But why do I feel the need to rate every song???

Have a great Monday night!
