This N' That

It's pretty bad when you go to start a blog and then you forget what you are going to say.... Or maybe it is appropriate due to the title of my blog. Yeah, that's it... just trying to be consistent.

Not much going on in life right now... work is busy as usual, but I thought I should take the time out to write a little something. The event we had last week went well, even though we didn't have as many show up due to Rita. It's nice to see that God is helping me out with this job, I don't want to "blame" it on luck. I'm a little nervous because we are looking at hiring another full time person and I'm afraid my boss will wake up and realize how I'm not qualified. But so far, so good. :)

For the update on Grandma, she got the ok yesterday to start taking that experimental drug again. Unfortunately, her mind isn't too clear (forgetting how to work things or if she took meds) and she's still really weak/tired all the time. (Nicole, if you come up with any exercises for her to do, let me know.) Since she's a little confused at times, she's going tonight to stay with my parents for awhile. So be praying for her and my family as we go through this.

I think Bosses' day is coming up in the next few weeks. What do you get your boss? All I got my old boss was a card b/c I didn't really like him... but I want to do something more for my boss.

Well, have a great week. I'll try to post again. Don't forget LOST on Wednesday and the season premiere of ALIAS on Thursday (7PM Central). It's going to be an awesome show, I can't wait! Yes, I am a little lame when it comes to my excitement over ALIAS! :)

Oh, and I highly recommend "Just Like Heaven"... my roomie and I went to the movies and saw it on our fun day that we had on Saturday. It's an excellent movie!

*baby find* Nicole, you might want to check with your mom, but we saw a "Mascot Mobile" of little "Raider Red"s and it plays the fight song! I'm not sure if your mom is going to have baby stuff or if she was going to use the "tech room" but you might want to tell her about it. It was way cute.

Hello!

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile... not much is going on in my life. It's a little mundane.

Work has been really busy. We are going to have this "Corporate Scholarship" event on Thursday with all these high ranking people from the Hotel/Restaurant industry. So I get to eat at Skyviews twice that day! I love the view from up there! Its so pretty...

I got my office decorated over the weekend. I have some pictures up, some potpourri, and some flowers and a plant. It looks pretty nice. I'm going to try to get a Tech picture up in the office in black and white for one other wall and then it will be complete! We should get new paint and carpet soon (ugly green carpet)... and I'd love to get new furniture but that's doubtful!

I hope y'all have had a wonderful weekend! I've been loving the sunsets and full moons lately. Simply beautiful, God.

Well, I better go get more work done. I'll try to post about something interesting soon...

Sugar and Spice and all things nice, that's what little girls are made of...

Today's pink post is in honor of the newest little member of my family! YEA! I was so excited to hear the news and can't wait to spoil this baby rotten! :)

Not much going on with me... just crazy busy at work. I never really thought I'd have to work this much! Ha ha... But at least with this, I like the people I work for! It is still a little overwhelming and daunting though.

Continued prayers for grandma please. She seemed to be doing a little better yesterday, but really, when she came home, she wasn't doing as well as I thought she would be. So please continue to lift her up in prayer. They will head back to Houston on Sunday!

Also, a praise for my friend Tarabel from Mississippi. Her house was mainly intact when they went to visit... but they are still trying to figure out what the future will hold for them. Her family that stayed behind was also found alive but they lost everything. Keep praying for them as well! And if you'd like to read her Tara's blog, go to www.tarabelstimes.blogspot.com

Have a great rest of the week! YEA! Tomorrow's Friday!
